Lava Glass, Glass Blowing Studio, Gallery and Café is the latest tourist attraction to come to Taupo, New Zealand. Lava Glass offers a unique opportunity to view the captivating process of Glass Blowing.

We invite you to take your time to peruse the adjoining shop and gallery with a myriad of glass art by Lynden Over, Chris Jones and other talented glass artists. 

Our newest addition is the on-site Café where you can enjoy freshly made cakes, scones and slices or pick from the other delicious choices on the menu. Sit inside on comfortable couches, or outside on the sunny patio and take in the rural surroundings. 

The Lava Glass Café and Gallery also offer a unique environment for a corporate function or special celebration.  

In our Glass Blowing Studio, the public can view the glass blowing process by Glass Artist Lynden Over. His training in glass blowing, jewellery and sculpture brings a unique quality of form to his glass work.

Lynden's work includes bowls, stopper bottles, vases, spiral bottles, galactic bowls, paper weights, pillar platters and more. All pieces are individually made, and therefore all vary slightly in shape size and design, making it an original artwork.

Each piece is signed and dated by the artist and makes for a perfect gift or collector’s item. All designs are available in a selection of magnificent colours.
